Over the last few months Julie and her friend Christiana have been trying to learn the
art of Hebrew calligraphy. Traditionally, texts are written using a quill and
ink on parchment made from kosher animal skin.
In keeping with the "foul/fowl" theme of this page (remember the kaparot?!), we have
posted some photos of the process of cleaning the feathers and cutting them into a pen nib.
