Sinai Trip
We took a quick trip to the Sinai Peninsula in December and had ourselves a wholly unexpected
adventure. We stayed in the town of Terebin, and were two of only about 12 tourists total in
all the town. It is, keep in mind, a village built for the sole purpose of tourism, with no
other business at all. It was amazing to see the far reaching effects of the Intifada and we
had the opportunity to sit and get to know other people which we probably wouldn't have done
otherwise. We spent time with the Israeli Dive Instructor and his family, the Jordanian brothers,
a weirdo German guy from Cairo, and the shopkeepers and locals of Terebin. We came back with
lots of stories, a couple of great pictures and a feeling that there isn't so much, after all,
that separates us as people.
